support for children

Recognizing that a child in your life is struggling—and that you can’t support them on your own—can be incredibly difficult. And how could you? We aren’t meant to raise children in isolation; it truly takes a village. I would love to be part of that village if you’ll have me.

Whether a child is expressing big feelings through tough behaviors, navigating a major life change, or coping with an unexpected distressing event, I’m here to support them—and you—through it all.

For over 15 years, I’ve worked with children and their families facing challenges such as:

  • Grief and loss (their own or the loss of an important person)
  • Life-threatening or life-altering diagnoses
  • Medical trauma
  • Anxiety (persistent anxious thoughts, feelings, and behaviors)
  • Separation anxiety from caregivers
  • School refusal
  • Self-regulation difficulties and challenging behaviors

Supporting children also means empowering caregivers. When working with a child, I provide caregivers with tools and strategies to reinforce our work outside of sessions—while maintaining the confidentiality and trust of the therapeutic relationship. We can discuss what this collaboration looks like during our initial consultation call.

Let’s connect.
